It’s finally spring! Hope you guys are enjoying warmer weather and spring flowers this weekend. Things are finally in bloom here in Northern Virginia and I’m loving all the pinks and red blossoms. My friend Nicole and I snatched some freshly trimmed cherry blossom stems from my neighbor’s trash the other day  and made a fabulous centerpiece for my dining room table. I wish they’d last forever!

I thought this verse and art was especially appropriate for the season and what we’ve been talking about this past week. Hope you enjoy!

Did I ever tell you guys about that time from September 2012 – September 2013 that I couldn’t breathe out of my nose for a year? Or my endometriosis and adenomyosis? Both experiences were horrible in very different ways, and maybe I’ll talk about them in more detail sometime.  They really tested my faith in different ways, especially the nose incident.

But an amazing thing has happened. God healed me. Simultaneously. From two very different things that started at two different times and caused a lot of hurt in different ways. I’ve been blessed with great medical care – that in itself is a gift from God – and I was able to have surgery for both. But the story is more complicated than that and ultimately it’s been very clear: God healed me. I’m forever grateful.

So I created this printable as a sort of love note to God. I’m going for a handwritten letter on stationary feel.

Hope you guys enjoy!

Free Printable Valentines (1 Corinthians 13:13b)

We’re celebrating Valentine’s Day at the preschool this Thursday and Friday today, due to anticipated snow days later this week, complete with a card exchange between the kids.  That was always one of my favorite parts of school when I was growing up. I remember I couldn’t wait to get home and pull each card out of my paper bag to look at the pictures and read who they were from. #dorkalert

Anyway, Kim had a great idea to offer up the 1 Corinthians 13:13b print as a set of free printable Valentine’s cards for anyone doing some last minute party prep. Just click on the image or link below to download the proper sized version, print, and cut.

Dose of hope: Still I Will Praise You (inspired by Psalm 42) FREE PRINTABLE

This week’s Dose of Hope is a little different for us. I was inspired by Psalm 42, and created this one as a worship printable rather than a verse printable.

Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God. – Psalm 42:5

I’d like to offer up worship / hymn printables every so often in the future if you guys are into it. What do you think?

Hope you all have a great weekend!

p.s. I love Matt Redman’s song “You Never Let Go” where he sings this phrase over and over.

Free Printable: 2014 #Follow Printable (In 4 Colors)

Last week I shared that the hubster and I aren’t making resolutions in the formal sense. Instead, we’re adopting “follow” as the theme of the year. As in, we’re going to be following God by setting a mental compass on both the things He’s asked us to do and the dreams He’s placed in our hearts.

While we don’t know exactly where that’s going to lead or what His timing is going to be, we want to do our part to be intentional with how we live this year so we don’t end up in exactly the same place that we started. So I asked Steph to create a free printable for us that we can use to write down the areas He’s asking us to follow Him and frame on our wall.

I don’t know about you, but if I’m not getting daily reminders of what I need to focus on, I’m super likely to let my circumstances or the things other people ask of me totally guide my path.

In the words of our former, former, former president, “Not gonna do it, wouldn’t be prudent…” (I couldn’t help myself!)

So here’s the 2014 Follow Printable. I’m using the arrows as lines to fill in our areas of focus.

follow_card_webpreviewSteph made us four different color combinations available by clicking on the links below.

pink and gold follow card
lime and turquoise follow card
orange and bright pink follow card
fuchsia and teal follow card

I promised pics of ours with our areas of focus filled in, and I will deliver. I didn’t get a chance to swing by Staples this week, so it’s coming soon!

Dose of Hope: Psalm 18:1 FREE PRINTABLE

I’m feeling pink (okay maybe I’ve been feeling pink for a while) and hearts like woah ever since spotting Kristin’s room reveal for her daughter’s new bedroom over on The Hunted Interior. Have you seen it yet? Swoon. I’d move in. And I’m pushing 32.

Anyway, Kim shot this verse over to me after some quiet time this past week, and I agreed it was a great pick. I love it’s simplicity. I might even try to make some more printables with this verse, because like all of God’s word, it’ Calligraphy, anyone? I wish, we’ll see…

Happy weekend, guys!

Dose of Hope: Luke 2:11 FREE PRINTABLE

Luke 2:11 - " in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord. #dosesofhope

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.  An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” – Luke 2:8-12

Merry Christmas, guys! Let’s celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ!

p.s. This one can also print as an 8×10 (or smaller) if you want to right click and save it.
