Dose of hope: Luke 6:35

Luke 6:35 {Jesus said} But love your enemies, do good to them..." #faith #scripture #quotes #bible

{Jesus said} But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. – Luke 6:35

  1. Okay, totally going to be honest here and say that this is not the verse I wanted to read this week in particular. Sigh. I suppose that’s because I really needed to be reminded? Yes. Thankful for the truth, even when it’s hard. And the best part about this verse? That last little bit–God is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Because I’ve been the ungrateful and the wicked. So many times. Thankful for a God Who does not repay us what we deserve but offers us kindness and grace and redemption instead. Happy Weekend, Steph!

    1. I know, right? It’s definitely not the kind of verse we usually do DOHs with. Kim had this great idea to focus on the gospels during Lent / Easter, and when I was sorting through verses I’ve bookmarked over the years I noticed I marked this one in 3 different Bibles. So I felt like I should go with it. Hope you had a good weekend!
