On Monday we started talking about how being a greater force of love in the world starts with learning how to love ourselves. And then on Tuesday I took a rest day. See that? I’m already taking it to heart.
So today we’re jumping back in with a super adorable graph about how to love ourselves. Because if you’re anything like me or the ten billion women I’ve met in my life, it can be easy to get hung up on on what loving ourselves well really looks like. Or (let’s just be honest) it can be easy to ignore it. Sometimes pinning things I want to do is way more fun than actually changing my lifestyle enough to do them. Just sayin’
But ladies, we’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. One of the best ways to experience God’s best in our lives is just knowing that we’re worth loving. And loving ourselves looks like giving ourselves the things we need to grow more like Christ and to grow healthier physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, financially, relationally, and creatively.
Another amazing graph alert… because everything’s easier with pictures.
Most of us are stronger in some of these areas and weaker in others, and that’s OK. We’re really never going to get it perfect. We’re just going to keep growing in the right direction. Especially in these 31 days. We’re using the month of October to lay the foundation, but it takes some time to build the house.
So tell us – what do you think of when you think of loving yourself well? Are there areas you’re better at than others? I love eating right, but for the life of me exercise and moving well is just not my thing. Baby steps. It’s all about the baby steps.
