  1. Wow, the NLT translation of this verse is so different from some of the other versions. It’s more intimate somehow. And so very accessible and straightforward. God’s calling us and we’re answering Him. Our relationship with God really can be that simple, can’t it? I love the Amplified version, too: “You have said, Seek My face [inquire for and require My presence as your vital need]. My heart says to You, Your face (Your presence), Lord, will I seek, inquire for, and require” This is the kind of pursuit we’ve been talking about here on the blog lately, seeking and requiring God’s presence as our vital need. No wonder we’re filling up on all kinds of things when we don’t seek Him first. Happy weekend, Friend!

    1. Love that AMP translation! This seems to be a big (and much needed) theme in what God’s teaching me this year. It’s been incredible to carve out more sitting with Him time this week. I hope you’re having a beautiful Saturday.

  2. Hi Kim. So I found you last night when I was feeling rather low. I just did a search on scripture, plain and simple, Word of God speak. I found your simple photo and sighed. Thanks!
