Kim suggested Hebrews 4:16 as a continuation of our prayer series, and how fitting is it? We can come to God in prayer and receive His grace and mercy to help us when we need it most. Wow! What a great, gracious God.

Wish you all a blessed weekend. Summer has unofficially-officially begun here in Northern Virginia so off to enjoy the high temps.

“Come boldly to the throne of God…”

  1. Hi Steph! I’m enjoying hearing from you on the blog and hope to get to know you more in the weeks to come. Thanks for sharing!

Lately I’ve enjoyed looking up verses in other translations to help me understand the fullness of the scriptures, which sometimes gets limited by our human words (or maybe *always* gets limited by our human words!). This is Hebrews 4:16 in the Amplified version: “Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].”

Mercy for our failures and grace to help us just when we need it. Oh, what hope!

Grace to you this week, Friend.

    1. Hey Courtney, thanks for your kind words! That’s a great translation – wow, what a great God! And you’re right, what hope! Have a great week.

      1. P.s. Looking forward to getting to know you, too! I’m definitely not a writer – I def prefer doing the images and graphics and hanging out here behind the scenes. But I may pop in with a post every now and then 😉
