Happy Earth Day

Earth Day: In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth - Genesis 1:1 | Gospel Girls

Hi friends, we hope you’re having a beautiful start to the week. Today is Earth Day, and taking care of the environment is something God has planted in both of our hearts since we were young. Most of the time that looks like small things like recycling the endless cans of seltzer we both consume (oops) or rocking reusable grocery bags, but every little step counts.

A couple months ago, (in)courage did a study of Jen Hatmaker’s 7: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess, and we’ve both been itching to read it since then.

Earlier this month, my church did a message on Our Role in a Broken System, and I loved it so much I immediately signed up to be a part of our Greenfront team and do glamorous tasks like pick recyclables out of trash cans after service. What can I say, it’s one of my love languages. But the message wasn’t about how we can be better recyclers. It was about what our role as Christians is in a global broken world. It’s a great one for a day like today, so here it is. (I hope you guys love it, because it’s one of my favorites!)

What about you guys? Is there one small thing that you like to do for environmental stewardship? Or anything you’re thinking about doing in the future? Or is it something you don’t feel particularly into? Let’s chat!

XO,
Kim & Steph
