A Playlist For You

Our Savior is Risen | Gospel Girls

You guys, He is risen!!! We celebrate this every year on Easter, and for a lot of us it can be easy to forget what a big deal this is. Certainly, I’ve been guilty of skimming through this part of Easter and focusing on the fun part. Let’s just say there was a time in my life when finding a basketful of chocolate was a big deal.

But this year Steph and I loved walking through Holy Week with you and focusing on what Jesus did on the cross for all of us. Yesterday marks Jesus’ victory over death, and it’s worth celebrating, pausing everything else, and just shouting with joy. To make that part easier for all of us we’ve compiled a playlist of songs that could never have been sung without this amazing occasion. Because they’re singing about freedom, and the new life we have from a God who loved us enough to pay the price for all of our mistakes.

We’d love to share it with you.

The playlist is called “He is Risen! | Gospel Girls” and you can listen to it using Spotify, our new favorite way to listen to music, because we can listen to whatever we want for free, but the artists still get paid.

He is Risen! Playlist

How to Listen to Our Easter Playlist:

1. Sign up for Spotify. You can do that by going to Spotify’s website and clicking the green “get Spotify” button in the upper right hand corner. This will get you a free account, no strings attached. You can login quickly using your Facebook email and password or you can create a new email and password. *Don’t click the giant “Try Spotify Premium For Free” button in the middle of the screen unless you’re positive you want to upgrade to a paid account.* Personally, we roll with the free one.

2. Download the player. This should be simple and straight forward. Once you log in, your computer will ask you if you want to download the app, and you say yes. The player has a green circular icon, so it’s easy to notice.

3. Listen to the playlist. Once you’re in, you can listen to the Easter playlist by clicking this link. It may open in another window, but as long as Spotify is open it will play. If you’re Facebook friends with me, you can also search for “Kim Fernando” in the upper left hand search bar, click on my name, and find the playlist there. Click on the first song name to play. *Don’t click on “start radio”… It’s weird. And don’t judge me for the copious amounts of Christmas music and Mariah Carey. Love me for who I am.

We hope you love it!
