Have you guys seen the Holy Week timeline available on Bible Gateway’s blog?

It’s incredible to think about everything that went down during this historic week that culminated in Christ dying on the cross and rising on the third day to forgive us of our sins!
I really want to take time this year to focus on each and every day of Holy Week in remembrance of what a momentous, incredible, special (are there really words to describe?!?) week it was. So today I’m meditating on these passages of scripture that describe the events that took place on a Monday so many years ago.
Jesus Curses the Fig Tree
In the morning, as Jesus was returning to Jerusalem, he was hungry, and he noticed a fig tree beside the road. He went over to see if there were any figs, but there were only leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” And immediately the fig tree withered up. – Matthew 21:18-19 (NLT)
Also, Mark 11:12-14
Jesus Clears the Temple
When they arrived back in Jerusalem, Jesus entered the Temple and began to drive out the people buying and selling animals for sacrifices. He knocked over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves, and he stopped everyone from using the Temple as a marketplace. He said to them, “The Scriptures declare, ‘My Temple will be called a house of prayer for all nations,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves.”
When the leading priests and teachers of religious law heard what Jesus had done, they began planning how to kill him. But they were afraid of him because the people were so amazed at his teaching.
That evening Jesus and the disciples left the city. – Mark 11:15-19 (NLT)

In the past I didn’t spend much time thinking about each day in Holy Week but this year I really want to focus on each momentous day and not just Easter (although that’s still the best part!). Glad you liked the Bible Gateway timeline too!
